Advisory: Council to Meet April 12

RICHMOND
 — The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia will hold a special meeting April 12, 2017, at the offices of Owens & Minor Inc., 9120 Lockwood Boulevard, Mechanicsville, Virginia.

The full Council will meet 11 a.m.-4 p.m. to discuss work on The Virginia Plan for Higher Education, the state's strategic plan. Steven Staples, Virginia's superintendent of public instruction, and Billy Cannaday, president of the state Board of Education, will provide updates on the board's recent work and goals. 

The Ad Hoc Committee on Research will meet 9-11 a.m. that day at the same location.
