Decision Days in Virginia

On or around May 1

Decision Day, sometimes referred to as Signing Day, celebrates the success of high school seniors in pursuing postsecondary education or training. Celebrations take place on or around May 1 to coincide with the deadline that most institutions use for students to submit enrollment decisions. Sites support students in making final decisions and remind them of next steps to enrollment. We encourage schools and communities to be creative when recognizing students and all postsecondary education decisions. See the Decision Day web page for creative ideas and resources to help plan your celebration and support your students' decisions.
