Our Students, Our Future
A Summit on College Access, Success, and Completion
The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia and our education partners presented a one-day summit to bring together education leaders and policy makers who are committed to improving college access, success and completion through the attainment of degrees or workforce credentials.
On June 8, 2016, nearly 300 attendees in Richmond learned about state and national efforts to increase access to and completion of postsecondary credentials, the importance of collaborations within institutions and between K12 and higher education, and the value of practices that support increased completion. Throughout the day, the discussion involved the use of data, partnerships and quality in education. The summit also featured displays of promising initiatives by our Virginia institutions.
