RICHMOND — The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) will hold its regularly scheduled meeting October 26-27. The meeting includes remarks from Gregory Washington, president, George Mason University, and student perspectives on the fall semester with guests Josh Gray (UVA Wise and Student Advisory Committee member), and William Walker (University of Richmond and GEAR UP Intern). Council will take action on programs at public institutions; private postsecondary institution provisional certification; modifications to the policy on course credit for examinations; guidelines for the development of transfer agreements; budget and policy recommendations for the 2021 General Assembly Session; certification of institutional performance standards; and The Virginia Plan for Higher Education goals and next steps. In addition, Council will receive updates on the statewide internship program; Office of the Qualified Education Loan Ombudsman; domicile guidelines; legislative studies; and fall 2020 campus activities.
